We recommend providing as much information as possible.

For students entering Elementary School and Middle School, we recommend providing at least the last 2 years’ reports. In the special case of pupils entering 8th Grade, all reports from 6th Grade onwards should be provided.

For students entering high school, parents/guardians are asked to provide the school with at least the 7th and 8th Grade reports, and all reports from High School.

To enroll in an American school, your child’s school reports must be translated.
In practice, this involves reproducing each report in its identical format, but in English.

 

The French and English versions of the reports will be used:
– in Elementary and Middle School, to provide information about your child’s past schooling
– in High School and with the reports from 9th Grade onwards, to acquire the credits required for graduation.

The translation must be certified by a sworn translator.

For military families, we advise you to provide the legal advisor office with your translations and originals as soon as you arrive, for rapid validation. VBPS is committed to accepting certified translations from the NATO legal advisor office.
