12th Grade Student Selected for Model NATO Challenge

We are proud to announce that one of our 12th grade students has been selected to participate in the 2026 Model NATO Challenge, part of the Norfolk NATO Festival, taking place on March 16, 2026, at Virginia Wesleyan University. Chosen as one of only 32 Student Diplomats, she will represent Norway in a simulation addressing real‑world NATO issues while preparing with a mentor to study Norwegian culture, politics, and military resources.

A Nationally Recognized Educational Project

The project “What if the boat of the future came from our history? A stealth sail-powered vessel,” carried out within our school, has drawn the attention of the French Ministry of the Armed Forces. Reviewed by the Directorate of Memory, Culture and Archives (DMCA) and the Interministerial Commission for Educational Cooperation (CICP), it has been shortlisted to receive the “Mémoire partagée” distinction at the “Héritiers de mémoire ceremony at the Panthéon. Inspired by the Hermione and the French victory of 1781 in the Chesapeake Bay, this project invites students to imagine a future reconnaissance vessel rooted in history.
