Parents’ Representatives
Parent representatives communicate with parents and pass on comments, opinions or questions from the school community.
Role
Parent representatives communicate with parents and pass on comments, opinions or questions from the school community.
They report :
– to parents: educational initiatives proposed by the principal and teachers, the general state of the school, etc;
– to the teaching staff: questions and/or suggestions on school operations from the parents they represent.
They are also responsible for communicating school council minutes to the community.
PLEASE NOTE: Questions about specific cases are dealt with directly between the parents, the teacher(s) concerned and the principal, if necessary.
How to become a parent representative
Submit your application by e-mail to the EFAN management.
School Council
Usually meets 3 times a year, once a term.
The School Council brings together all the players in a school:
– management and teachers (or educational team)
– partners
– parent representatives (if possible, one per school cycle: at least 1 for primary, 1 for junior high and 1 for high school).
Role of the School Council
Discusses, works on and votes on proposals put forward by its members:
– internal regulations, library organization, etc.
– the school project, the general state of the school…
– parent volunteering, proposals for in-school or extra-curricular activities…
