PARENTS ARE WELCOME AT EFAN!

Parent involvement in school activities, social events and school operations is a wonderful way to learn more about the French American School of Norfolk (EFAN) and to actively support our students and the partnership with Norfolk Public School (NPS).

Volunteers can be involved in many organizations at EFAN! Accompanying students on a field trip, preparing for an end of year party, picnics, coordinating “La Galette”, preparing desserts for the staff during Teacher Appreciation Week, but also becoming a member of the School Council or becoming a member of the Board of Trustees, are all possibilities to get involved in the life of EFAN. Helping out in or out of the classroom, teaching French to American 1st graders, proctoring mock exams, or helping coordinate bilingual Standards Of Learning (SOL) reviews are also great opportunities to get involved.

The EFAN community is more than happy to welcome new energy, talent and time to enhance the lives of students while providing opportunities to interact with EFAN and NPS faculty and staff.
